Environmental Quotes Part 2

Environmental quotes part 2

Environmental quotes and popularity

Environmental quotes are becoming increasingly popular. Apparently hating the earth killers is cool now, which is ironic to me because much of the merchandise used to support hating the haters of earth is not exactly the most earth friendly either. Granted, it is better, but it is actually probably best not to print our environmental quotes and slogans at all than to be making more new stuff in factories to show our support for shutting down factories. We are still creating more stuff in an overtaxed world system, and we don't even yet know of a really good way to get rid of our environmental quotes t-shirts and coffee mugs and waterbottles when we are done with them.

Environmental quotes and recycling our stuff

Yeah, we recycle, and that's definitely a good thing. But as I heard it explained once (in very nifty environmental quotes too) is as follows; it's reduce, reuse, recycle, and we need to be prioritizing it in that order, not the other. Many of us that think we are 'going green' are in fact just recycling the same stuff we were buying before, thus lifting no burden from the system, except perhaps lightening the load of having to take care of our trash. But even recycling is not yet a perfect solution (as many the obscure environmental quotes could tell you) as sometimes some of the material gets wasted or cannot be used during the recycling process. And so we are still wasting, still polluting, even with our green products.

Environmental quotes and word of mouth

The best way to spread our fervor for the environmental quotes and our causes is still the old fashioned way; word of mouth. Word of mouth doesn't kill trees. Word of mouth is easy to recycle and rarely goes to waste. Word of mouth doesn't create factories and factory waste. Best of all, word of mouth creates the kind of hippie grassroots movement that many of these idealistic sharers of environmental quotes are daydreaming of being part of. Yes, it might be harder and much different than they anticipate. But I guess that's how you separate the kids from the adults.

Environmental quotes so what now

Now we find alternatives to publishing environmental quotes all over everything conceivable. Now we look at the thrift store, yard sales, and other places for used substitutes. Now we actually start to live out our environmental quotes by shopping greener, and most of all shopping less. After all, that is still the best way to save the planet; just use less.
